Mercy is rather crucial in a world,in which there is an immense need for an existence of mercy, to forgive and forget, to forgive the person who committed a crime instead of reporting it to the authorities or taking action or whatever. Mercy can come in many forms and is indeed extremely important to exist in the world.

Justice however, is extremely crucial as well as it prevents rampant crime if there were to be no justice , for justice will be dealt out to offenders of crimes and these people would have no chance to commit crimes again.

I would say that for me, if there be a choice, i would choose justice over mercy, for it is justice that will keep the world safe from the baddies for if there was only mercy, those people would take advantage and there would be no order in the world. who would want to live in a world like that? Therefore, i would say that justice is my choice if there were only one to exist in the world, to purify the world and cleanse the world of filth and ensure law and order to allow for safety and peace to exist in the world.

Dead Poets Society on the whole is an excellent movie in which it is really inspirational in which it shows another side to school life in which it depicts defiance in a light way and somehow adopts a neutral stand on how reckless and daring one can be in the world . The movie shows passion in a whole new light and shows the stark truth of what might very well happen to someone who has too much passion or that if one does not know one's place in the world and have to face the consequences.
Various witty lines are forever memorable like that of " Assume the Position as well as You Have A Phone Call From God" This movie has taught me to live life to the fullest and not let anything deter oneself in one's passion in which it shows the path for passion, daring one to take it, in view of the consequences which might very well result from such an act.


The film's attitude towards youth is mainly that one should find their own interest in the world, develop's one's passion and realise one's dream -to find true reason in whatever they do, instead of letting things be and let the education system take control of them without them truly developing their true talents and really having fun in their daily lives. The film shows youths being truly passionate to the extent of being daring to being at total disregard for rule or in this case adults and thus portray them as either dead or expelled and this rebelliousness crushed.
The film deals with 'growing up' by displaying open defiance, and this defiance being crushed. The various main characters each have their own way, their own view of how "Carpe Diem" should be done and how reckless as to what extent of recklessness or in this case passion.
For Neil, he had a passion for acting and chose to do the best that he can, be it at the disagreement of his parents but he chose to be over filial in which he dared not defy his parents if they have given the deadpan straight faced no-go. When his parents forced him to leave school in which case leave the Society and leave acting as well , he dared not object to his parents and chose the final way out - by ending it all and killing himself.He is someone who is courageous and passionate enough but lacking in guts to defy the people that he loved.
For Charlie Dalton, he is rather the daring and rebellious person even before Keating arrived and i would say that he is the most daring amongst them all in which he thinks himself very important and somehow very highly in which he seems to think that he is above many things, like above reprisal or punishments . He seems to do things and say things to gain attention , often giving rather funny stuff like saying that his name is "Nuwanda" as well as the most famous quote from him in the whole movie -"It's a phone call from God! And its for You!" He is someone who is indeed rather reckless and at the end he punched the do-gooder who sold the Society out , in which he probably refused to sign the paper and was therefore expelled.He is someone who believes in himself and is extremely reckless a true person who believes in "Carpe Diem".
Knox Overstreet is the one who went after the girl whom he thinks is extraordinarily beautifu l and is someone who is at first not really very daring, till being inspired and being taught by Keating .He was one of the most influenced and became courageous and determined to make his life count in which he is someone who pushes his luck to the end and has extreme confidence in his daring actions and hearty even after being rejected and denied.
Todd Anderson is the guy who was always lonely and dejected and rather emo~tional in which Keatings boosted confidence within him and he finally found the confidence within him at the very end in which he emerged from the most lonely and timid guy to become the most courageous guy in the whole lot for he was the first to stand up.


The movie is no doubt really excellent in terms of just about everything that one might very well hope for in a movie in which it is hilarious , very much entertaining and really interesting indeed.The only bad point that there is about the movie is mainly the ending. The ending of the movie was rather well kind of unexpected, and a little shocking, from all the hilariousness and all the fun in twhich one gets the feeling of "hanging there" for one gets the kind of idea of abruptness he starting to mid of the movie, then comes tragic in which what i would say the two main characters Neil and Nuwanda were dead and expelled respectively and the ending was not really comforting though, in which i actually thought of some other ending that might appear like perhaps the principal changing his decision or something instead of Mr Keatings leaving like some loser and the Society members either expelled or dead with the rest being forced back to the old ways and the Society banned.


Well, finally the exams are over though. It has been quite a hard few weeks work as it has been, constantly revising for the various exams in preparation of them and finally it is now over. In evaluation of this year's results, I would say that my results haven't been as well as i expected them to be. In fact, my results were indeed far from my expectations and in fact I actually fell short of just about all my goals, in which it was only Chinese which only hit my benchmark of A1.

Well, i guess the whole point now is not to cry over apparently spilt milk but to work on the next target , or just about work off into the future.


This is another whole new segment of canoeing, which of cause who better than to send us once again for dragonboating. For dragonboating, there are only two kinds of races, the ten - man crew as well as the twenty-man crew boat races.I was in the twenty- man boat, in which basically they sent everyone in the C-Div Squad ,we have 15 members and they got in a few choice sec1 s.The ten-man however, they sent in only the elite of the elite of the Sec 2s. Unfortunately, i was not included[ with the coach saying me lacking in passion and stuff ] . The ten-man won a silver. For me, in the twenty man, we won a silver as well. But it was not very awe-inspiring or remarkable, considering it was the efforts of twenty people and in some way I was not at all feeling like i accomplished some remarkable feat ,and having a sense of achievement.
In fact, at the end of it, i was only like " okay , i have won. so well thats it.kbye". Indeed, it did not give me a sense of achievement but at the very least i won something once again. :DDDD


Finally, a cca break. Well, not really very amazing or whatever but well, a break is still a break. Well-deserved one though , after winning two medals in a row, as in well perhaps for me. Obvious that those really enthu people like captains vice captains whatevers would insist that they do not have enough trainings to begin with.
Well nevermind, come to think of it lets just talk about all these competitions that i had in the past month so far.For starters , there is the most renowned National Schools, in which basically just about almost any sport has National Schools , in which basically for canoeing it is just a competition to see who rows the boat faster and stuff. It is basically race to see who clocks the best timing, as in the fastest timing and thus win the race. There are many different types of canoes , and thus many different races for the different types, there are the K boats, basically sleek fast canoes which are the best in the whole legion , suited for speed and comes in many different boat pairings like the K1 , which is for one guy only, followed by K2 for two people to row as well as the K4 , for 4 people to row.
There is also the T Boats , in which these are amongst all the boats are the slowest , in which there are only T1 as well as T2 s . This is considered the beginner boat.After this there are the C boats. All other canoes are built for sitting down. The C Boats are those meant for people to stand up and paddle. Although it kind of looks quite cool, it is extremely tiring and rather hard to balance on it. There are C1s and C2s.
I take the K boat races only. I took part in the K1 as well as the k4 races. The K1 was indeed an epic failure and well i would not wish to say out how badly i failed. For the K4 however, it was a close fight and we emerged in 3rd out of about 4 or 5 boats -can't remember.


Well, i'm not really into blogging but well the truth was that i used to blog last time in which i used to have quite a few blogs cause there were actually many times whereby i just couldn't remember my old account passwords :D . But that was last time, ever since about close to mid year of p6 i have gotten quite enough of blogging , so much that i totally quit blogging due to heavy stress of coming PSLE and whatever else . Peer Pressure played a huge part in all this and after that i totally deserted blogging cause im not the type of person sentimental or whatever enough to think that blogging might well be a leisurely thing to do after like mugging for a while . The only thing i could think of after the exams was to get back into gaming and ever since this has been my main pastime to kill time for like forever. Even now that i think of it, i can't seem to find myself wanting to start my own blog of some kind once again ever since my old gmail acc was lost. In fact, i used to have alot of email addresses as well, cause my previous CCA in primary school was Robotics, in which that means i get use the com in like almost everyday in school as well as at home

As anyone can possibly from your primary school days, you can't obviously bring the laptop to school and com lessons were minority but for me i have alot of free time on the com at school during CCA so what do i do? Sometimes i would start playing com secretly ~ but my old school has a school com locking system in which the sch adminstrator can lock your com or control your com from his own pc in which he can actually view your screen from his own PC if he wanted . [ Yes, my old sch tech is not all losing out and we do have this admin program thing installed in every com in sch]


Well, everyone knows what braces are and what they look like but well does everyone actually know about what actually happens when lets just suppose you 1st say - dude i think i need braces. Well, let me just share my experiences of braces with the world . At the first session of braces, as i very well remember, it was rather lame and boring as the dentist would just check your teeth and just about say : OH~ your teeth is crooked and you need braces and the rest of it.

My impression of the next few sessions would be rather vague, but i distinctly remember the 2nd session where the dentist would have to do an xray of your teeth or something whereby you would have to stand in this funny room with a whole hell of machines in which you have to try each one of them out, and neither of which actually looks remotely sane to me. During that very same session, one would also have to do grafting of the teeth in which the dentist inserts some greenish plasticine like thingy into your mouth [tastes a little like mint] , in which you bite down hard and a few minutes later they have a model of your teeth and yah dats about it for the second session.

The 3rd session would be the part in which i daresay would be the most painful of all the sessions in which you actually put on the braces thing , they first glue or somehow attach small metal brackets to every single tooth, after which they would bring in some sort of wire, or in some cases , springs and rubber tubes and link all the brackets. After which, comes the a little bit painful part at the starting , in which you get to choose your colour for your braces and the dentist attaches on the rubber band like thingy around your metal brackets.

But the pain doesnt come now, directly after the whole thing, i didnt even feel a thing, but to the end of the day, that was asif hell broke lose in my mouth. Not sure how others with braces actually felt, but for me the pain was purely devestating, in which i had to endure the pain for about 3-4 days.

Rather terrible on my part though, for the pain was simply excruciating. After that , would be about 2 more sessions roughly gauged between 1-2 months away from each session in which one would just simply go the dental there and the dentist would inspect growth of the teeth and tighten the stuff and whatever~ gets rather routine for a while.

After that though, for me at least, came the pain that i havent had in "centuries"~ extraction of two teeth from my mouth. That was like last week as well as today , in which i just had it. Well, all i can say is that for the first extraction , which is roughly last week, the extraction was rather smooth and took about 20 mins to end. At the start the dentist would rub some lipstick like thingy on the inner side of your mouth which tastes like strawberry. After which the dentist would shake and loosen your lips for a while , in which one would slowly feel asif your lips are now rubberised, after the dentist injects you with some kind of syringe like thingy.In the first extraction, the dentist had alot of time and did it slowly, in which i couldnt even feel the pain at all, so smooth that even the injection felt asif nothing had happened. The tooth just came out after two shakes from the mini wrench like thing . It was so smooth and so painless that i almost laughed my ass off. I came into the room filled with nothing but fear, but i came out laughing at the pure irony of the whole thing.

But for the second extraction, which is just now. The whole thing was screwed up bad man. I came late as well, for some reason i forgot i had dental at 230, and i ended up going dere at 5 and waiting all the way til 540, which the whole place was already about to close down. There was only one way to describe this ~The dentist this time round gave me a swift and brutal extraction. Rub the lipstick thing, haven't even waited for the ^&%*&^! thing to take effect and instantly injected me with the syringe. ##$#$! That was seriously pain where i never imagined man. I seriously had to fight back tears in which the dentist immediately took out the wrench and started wrenching my tooth when the whole thing wasn;t even like taking effect!

It took about 8 shakes of the wrench and boy was it painful man. So let me tell the others who would potentially wear braces, better not be late for dental or you would seriously face the wrath of slip- short work , especially not for extraction of your tooth,


Who would you want to be friends with in the novel? Explain.

I would want to be friends with Tom Robinson in the novel. That is as i basically respect him for all the moral courage he has shown in the trial in which i applaud him for his honesty and his courage to say out things a black of that time would never have said. I would very much like to make friends with someone so very much honest and yet so caring and empathatic for others including people who would not hesitate to bring him to his death.

In my view, Tom Robinson has shown more respect for himself and for everyone else than just about anyone else in the story , probably except for Atticus Finch. It takes a lot of courage to still be honest in the face of imminent "death" as he was about to receive from the racists all around him in which the most significant act of courage due to his sheer honesty was the fact whereby he said that he cared for Mayella Ewell.

I would like to be friends with him as he is very honest and i very much admire that quality within him as well as his courage, for only honesty between two people can two people become best friends there can ever be , for there is no mistrust and no doubt.
